Beginners Tagalog 1-on-1 Premium Classes
Albine teaching Kelly 1 on 1 one lovely morning.

Take Your Entry Way to Continuing Tagalog Program

Mabuhay! Thanks for your interest in learning Tagalog, my language. I'm Albine Bodo. I teach Tagalog since 2019. I created a curriculum that is geared towards student's greater learning experience and improved command of the Tagalog language.

This page will help you decide on which course package to take as a beginner in Tagalog. While not everyone who wish to start working with me is coming from the same Tagalog skill level, there are "two doors" to choose from in order to get in. Keep reading.

Choose Among These Premium Classes For Beginners In Tagalog

  1. Premium Classes For Total Beginners (24-Session One On One): This is for the ultimate beginner in Tagalog. If you have a very little vocabulary and you can't ask basic questions in Tagalog nor can't answer same basic questions back; if you can't count in Tagalog nor introduce yourself, this is for you. Let's refer to this as Course Code L101.
  2. Premium Classes For Upper Beginners (12-Session One On One): This is for students with quite knowledge in Tagalog. If you've learnt the language in the distant past but stopped practicing it, or if you've bought a grammar book and you need a teacher to guide you, or if you attended a Tagalog class somewhere else but feeling stuck, choose this package. This is tagged as Course Code L102.

Objectives In Tagalog Learning

On the larger scale, especially when you commit to our Continuing Tagalog Program, my main objective for you is to achieve the highest level of proficiency in Tagalog as your second language.

Specific to Course Codes L101 or L102, my objectives for you as an entry level student in Tagalog are the following:

  1. To be able to build essential vocabulary words;
  2. To be able to speak simple phrases or sentences and pronounce them satisfactorily;
  3. To acquire elementary level of Tagalog communication skills;
  4. To be able to say basic introductions and answer questions about personal details; and
  5. To acquire elementary knowledge on the use of articles, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, and other essential parts of speech.

What Materials are Needed in Your Tagalog Class?

To facilitate successful learning, my student should have access to the following:

  1. A laptop or PC or any mobile gadget plus Internet browser.
  2. The Moodlecloud app or its URL.
  3. A non-proprietary third party video call app like Jitsi Meet or Big Blue button.
  4. Strong Internet connection.
  5. A good working microphone.
  6. Physical notebook (with pen of course) is most recommended. It's your discretion.
  7. Confirmed appointment. Follow this link to my Booking Page.

On top of these requirements, you're expected to commit an hour each week for our video call plus extra 30 minutes a day to self-study or do your homework.

What Topics Do You Cover In Your 1-on-1 Premium Classes for Beginners?

Great question. It's clear that I'm presenting two options here. There are topics that apply to both packages (course code 101 versus 102) but not all are delivered to the other due to cost and time limitations. However we both can agree throughout the course of the study to focus on things that you need most based on your personal situation.

So let me show you how one is distinct from the other by referring to the table below. At the bottom of this list you'll know how much your Premium Classes will cost you as I'm sure that's the biggest question you have in mind:
